ultrasounds of the ocean

The sounds of the ocean are relaxing for people, but the sounds people release in the ocean are anything but relaxing for marine life.

To raise awareness for noise pollution, we created a series of ocean-inspired meditation videos with a stressful twist.

For this campaign, we partnered up with a non-profit organization to provide further educational resources on the topic and to help with donations.

We chose Big Blue Ocean Cleanup.

Spoof meditation videos

We created a YouTube channel with a series of fake guided meditations. The videos start as ocean-inspired meditations but end up being disturbing, noisy tracks for people to experience firsthand the noise pollution that underwater creatures deal with every day.

Twitter

We used the Voice Tweet feature to amplify soundbites of noise pollution on social. The first step to solving this problem is making people aware that it even exists, and hearing is believing.

ocean noise pollution day

By making the public aware of this problem on a mass scale, it puts pressure on the companies and government officials who can actually implement policy change.

So we created a Change.org petition to lobby for an International ‘Ocean Noise Pollution’ day.
